I have always enjoyed sewing and felt is such an easy fabric to work with. It comes in a variety of colours and patterns and can be soft or very firm. Ornaments can be made into any shape, with a looped ribbon added for hanging. Pieces may be decorated with pendants, tassels or embroidery.

Embroidery involves using stitching techniques to create images or lettering on fabric. A piece of fabric is set taut into a loop, then thread or wool can be stitched through with a needle. This fabric can be used to make cat toys, ornaments, hangers and garments. Existing fabric items can also be embroidered.

I currently only hand sew, although I do have an Elna 2000 sewing machine I am yet to use. I hope to get into garment/accessory creation utilising the sewing machine once I build some skill.

Previously working at an animal shelter, I began using donated pillowcases to create toys for all of the cats and kittens, which were a hit! Now everyone can purchase a fun little affordable toy for their cats. 

Cat toys can be embroidered with your cat's name, any word, phrase or simple image on request for an additional fee. Other shapes, materials and finishes can be arranged as well. For each cat toy sold, five will be made and donated to an animal shelter.

An expansion on just myself making cat toys, I wanted people to have the opportunity to make their own. The kits contain everything needed to create 3 kickers and 3 mice toys for their cats. Fabric colours are random, but feel free to request particular colours if required. 

The kit includes: 3 kicker shapes, 3 mouse shapes, 3 tails, 3 ear pairs, 3 needles, thread bobbin and stuffing. For each cat toy kit sold, ten toys will be made and donated to an animal shelter.
